Creator & Lover of Games
Hello! I'm Preston Johnson and as the title says I make games. I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in May 2014 with my MS in Game Design and Development. After that I worked on my game, A.V., which was first released on Steam in February 2015. Along with games I love music and audio as well. Of course I prefer to bring them together too when possible. A.V. was a great chance to experiment and I hope to make more games like it in the future.
Currently I am expanding my ability in various areas as a Game Developer for Digital Gaming Corporation in South Florida while also producing some music on the side.
Below is a quick overview of my skills, which I have broken down into three key areas. The Projects and Resume pages will have more detail about myself and some of my previous work. Feel free to Contact me directly for any reason!
Over the years I have lead or assisted on many small to medium sized game, web, and software projects. Ensuring that development goes smoothly is my goal! Some of the key skills I picked up were:
I have tinkered with computers all my life and finally started learning to program in 2005. From there I ended up branching out quite a bit while trying to focus on games. I can pick up new languages quickly but am already greatly experienced in the following:
My adventures also followed the road of my great passion for Audio. From making assets in Ableton Live 9 to adapting it inside of the game world with audio engines like FMOD or in house solutions. Check out the Sound Cloud widget on the page for some asset samples, or see the Audio page directly for more technical details.
